Scanning works best with a clear, well-lit, flat photo of the page. If a scan fails or the reading looks wrong, try re-taking the photo with better lighting and less glare/angle, then scan again. If it keeps happening, email us a description (and, if you can, the photo) and we'll take a look.
Your scan photos are stored privately under your own account and are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to read the Japanese text — they're never made public and never used to train AI models. Full details: Privacy Policy.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. See Account Deletion for the full details, including what to do if you can't sign in.
